James E. Cline, age 51 of Chetek, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Heritage Lakeside in Rice Lake.  He was born in Berwyn, Illinois on July 20, 1971 to John and Janice Cline. 

He graduated from Villa Park High School.   After high school, he attended DuPage Community College and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in mechanics and was A.S.E. Certified.  James could just about fix anything.

James loved family and he looked forward to being a grandfather.  He shared his birthday with an uncle and a nephew, making 3 generations with the same birthday.  He was a very generous and loving person who enjoyed helping others and loved animals, online shopping and going to the shooting range.

He is survived by his daughters: Ashley and Zoey; granddaughter Bailee; parents John and Janice; brother Jon (Becky); sister Jennifer (Mark) Lautenbach; nephews: Braxton and Joseph; and a niece Mylei.  He is further survived by many relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death are his maternal and paternal grandparents and a cousin Richard Lukow whom he was very close to.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
