It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Gary Anthony Kentgen, age 76, passed at 12:50 am on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 in Wisconsin.

He was born June 30, 1946 in Chicago, IL. Gary was known for his intelligence, his love of the Lord, love for photography, great passion for science and theology, loved to capture the beauty of nature in photographs, an avid sports fan particularly of teams from Chicago, a dedicated reader and writer, and enjoyed delving into topics of technology, theology and the world of books. 

Gary is survived by his wife Lesley Swank Kentgen of Osseo, WI; former wife Carol Kentgen; daughter Juliette (David) Reyes of Tampa, FL; and best friend Rev. Dr. George Byron Koch.

He is preceded in death by his parents Gerhardt A. and Magdalen H. (nee Gulyas) Kentgen; brothers Robert P. and Raymond J. 

Gary was a beloved husband, father and friend. He will always be remembered for his sharp mind, loving heart, adventurous personality, and sense of humor.

He has left a lasting impact on all who knew him and will be forever missed.

Graveside services will be held at a later date in Indianola, IL.
