Donald E. Wittren, age 84 of Altoona, WI passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023. Don was born on May 19, 1938 to Henry and Margaret (Levasseur) Wittren in the family home on Spooner Ave.

He graduated with honors and four varsity basketball letters from Altoona High School in 1956. He graduated from Dunwoody Technical College in Minneapolis, then worked in mechanical engineering departments located in Beloit, WI, Rockford, Ill. and Sarasota, FL for 45 years.

Don married Sharon Grilley in 1958 and they divorced many years later. Don and Sharon were blessed with three daughters.

Don is survived by daughters: Lori (Steve) Brown and Carol (Terry) Young; grandchildren: Shelby (Stephen) Wager, Stephanie Brown and Ryan Brown; a great-granddaughter Stevie Wager; son-in-law Bill Roach; sister Dorothy Sorensen; sister-in-law Aubrey Wittren; nieces and nephew: Nance Sampson, Cynthia Krumenauer and Mike Sorensen.

Preceding him in death are his parents; daughter Janis Roach; brothers: Lloyd and Jerry; and brother-in-law Don Sorensen.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
