Obituary for David Bernard Litzell
David ‘Sonny’ Litzell, age 84 of Menomonie, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2022.
David was born on May 18, 1938, in Duluth MN, to Bernard Litzell and Eleanor (Gunderson) Dahlberg and grew up in Spring Valley, WI where he met his wife of 63 years, Barbara (Blegen) Litzell.
He is preceded in death by his siblings Darlene, Darwin ‘Hap’, and Donald.
David is survived by his wife Barbara; their daughter Kirsten; granddaughters: Sonny and Bobbi; step-granddaughter Trudy; and his great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives.
David was a wonderful provider and was much loved by his family. He was well-known for his lifelong love of motorcycles and cars. Dave spoke of his service in the Navy fondly and P0 was proud to have served. In recent years he was rarely seen without his dog, Rhino, and carried him everywhere.
Services will be arranged later at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
