Constance “Connie” Ruth Rieck

Constance “Connie” R. Rieck, age 77, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

Connie was born in Wausau, Wisconsin on August 12, 1946 to Darwin and Bess (Rath) Foster.  She lived most of her life in the Eau Claire area and graduated from Eau Claire North High School, Class of 1964.  After completing nursing school, she cared for many other people including aging adults, foster children, people with disabilities, family and friends.

Connie lived her life to the fullest filling her time with flowers, reading and trips to the local thrift stores with her childhood friend Kathy.  Her feisty personality, sense of humor and generosity defined her.  She will be missed.

Connie is survived by her son, Jason (Nandi) Rieck; her granddaughters, Kennedy (Kyle) Johnson and Roshanda Walton; her great-grandbaby Johnson; her brother, Gary (Karen) Foster; her brothers-in-law, Peter Blomquist and Dick Finch; her “second son” Pat Villalpando; and many nieces and nephews, family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Diane Finch and Rhonda Blomquist.

Memorial Service will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.  Visitation will take place at the church from 11:00am until the time of the service.  Inurnment will be private.
